Polarized lenses are constructed in a laminate, or layered format. One of the layers is a horizontal set of filters, almost like a set of "mini blinds". These filters address the light that is horizontally reflected off flat surfaces like snow, sand, pavement or water.

Glare knows no season so we recommend polarized eyewear to our customers all year round. Quality sunwear or outdoor eyewear protects us from the more troublesome types of glare, from the annoying that makes one squint or put a hand up, to the disabling that causes you to close your eyes or turn away. Medium to dark tints and Transition lenses can help with these, however, only polarized lenses can eliminate blinding glare.
